AIM

The aim of the course is to:

  • Prepare and equip participants with the necessary knowledge when performing navigation within Port Limit and its approaches including the proper execution in response to marine emergencies.

  • Assist candidates in preparing for the Port Limit Tanker Master & Passenger Ferry Safety simulation exams.

OBJECTIVE OF COURSE

At the end of the course, participant would be able to:

  • Understand the basic principles governing safe navigation within the port.

  • Perform voyage planning, making use of various aids to navigation, conform to proper reporting procedures and have a better understanding of the relevant Port Regulations when operating within the port and its approaches.

  • Better acquaint the participants with the Full Mission Shiphandling Simulator.

  • Take control and execute proper response to marine emergencies

  • Coastal Ship Masters, Senior/Junior Deck Officers.

  • Candidates preparing for MPA’s Port Limit Tanker Master & Passenger Ferry Safety Assessment.

DURATION: 1 Day

 

COURSE FEE: $406.60 (Inclusive GST)

 

Note: For training onboard ship or other location and / or during weekends & Public Holidays, the above course fee is not applicable. Please consult our Training Coordinators for quotation.
