AIM

The aim of the PFSC Course is to ensure that port facility personnel are equipped with sufficient knowledge to be able to perform their assigned duties for port facility security, in accordance with the mandatory ISPS Code Part A, Section 18.2.

 

OBJECTIVE OF COURSE

At the end of course, the participants will be able to understand their duties and responsibilities in meeting the mandatory requirements in Sections A/18.2, B/18.2 and B/18.3 of the ISPS Code.

 

COVERAGE OF PFSC COURSE

The PFSC Course covers all the requirements in the ISPS Codes and the IMO Model Course 3.21 (dated 06 Sep 2003) and covers the following modules:

  • Overview of ISPS Code and Maritime Security

  • Detection of Threats

  • Deterrence of Threats

  • Port Facility Security Procedures

  • Legal Powers and Constraints

CERTIFICATION: Qualification Certificates will be issued to participants who meet the course requirements.

 

DURATION: 0.5 Day
