STET Maritime inspectors and surveyors are specially selected based on their academic qualifications, specific areas of shipping expertise and are equipped with the professional skills needed to conduct various types of marine surveys.

With extensive and in-depth working experiences related to the maritime industry, we offer an independent and extensive range of Marine Survey services which include but are not limited to the following. Click on each title for details:

- Pre-Purchase Condition Surveys

Pre-Purchase surveys are mainly carried out at the request of a prospective buyer who intends to purchase a new or used vessel. STET Maritime can provide a comprehensive inspection that covers structural integrity, propulsion system, mechanical and electrical system, fuel system, navigation equipment, other miscellaneous on-board systems, cosmetic appearance and overall maintenance as well as an out-of-water inspection. Such surveys are also used by banks, insurance companies and P&I clubs as part of their due diligence requirements.

- On / Off Hire Surveys

This survey is conducted at the start or completion of a charter of a ship primarily to ascertain the condition of vessel structure, cargo compartments etc, with regards to eventual existing and/or claimed damages with fair wear and tear accepted. A bunker survey is usually carried out with this survey.

- Damage Surveys

Damage surveys are primarily connected with matters of P &I, Insurance and Hull & Machinery Underwriters. This is performed to assess the extent of damage, recommend repairs, estimate repair cost, and if requested, identify possible cause(s) of damage.

  • Fire and Explosion damage

  • Grounding damage

  • Flooding damage

  • Loss of Hire
