With extensive and in-depth working experiences related to
the maritime industry, we offer an independent and extensive
range of Marine Survey services which include but are not
limited to the following. Click on each title for details:
-
Pre-Purchase Condition Surveys
Pre-Purchase surveys
are mainly carried out at the request of a prospective buyer who intends to
purchase a new or used vessel. STET Maritime can provide a comprehensive
inspection that covers structural integrity, propulsion system, mechanical and
electrical system, fuel system, navigation equipment, other miscellaneous
on-board systems, cosmetic appearance and overall maintenance as well as an
out-of-water inspection. Such surveys are also used by banks, insurance
companies and P&I clubs as part of their due diligence requirements.
- On / Off Hire Surveys
This survey is
conducted at the start or completion of a charter of a ship primarily to
ascertain the condition of vessel structure, cargo compartments etc, with
regards to eventual existing and/or claimed damages with fair wear and tear
accepted. A bunker survey is usually carried out with this survey.
- Damage Surveys
Damage surveys are
primarily connected with matters of P &I, Insurance and Hull & Machinery
Underwriters. This is performed to assess the extent of damage, recommend
repairs, estimate repair cost, and if requested, identify possible cause(s) of
damage.
- Superintendence
We provide short term
or long term superintendence for repairs and new build for Vessel Owners or
Operators who do not have dedicated in-house technical superintendent. We also
undertake supervision of newbuildings, and drydock or afloat repairs on all
types of ship and offshore transportation barges including reporting of
associated costs.
- Bunker Delivery Surveys
Conduct survey to
ascertain the quantities of Fuel Oil, delivered to a seagoing vessel and, if
required, to sample and analyze the product in question.
- Magnetic Compass Adjustment
STET Maritime can
provide a complete service for the Compass Adjustment of all ships magnetic
compasses. Our 'Compass Adjuster' can attend the vessel, perform an analysis of
the compass to determine its accuracy and condition, then carry out a full
'Compass Adjustment'.
- Towage Approval Surveys
Towage approval
surveys have been performed both locally and abroad on a wide range of craft but
most often on tugs and barges with a variety of cargoes. Objective of the survey
is to ensure that the towed vessel is fit to be towed for the contemplated
voyage and that all reasonable precautions are taken to ensure it arrives safely
without incident at its destination.
