Refund Policy
STET Homeland Security Services is committed towards
maintaining a high-level of good business practice and
transparency in dealing with our course participants.
1. Request refund of course fees
To expedite course participant’s request for refund of
course fees, they are requested to write to the Training
Manager, STET Homeland Security Services with the
following information:
a) Course participant’s name;
b) Course participant’s NRIC / FIN number;
c) Course enrolled into or applied for at STET Homeland
Security Services;
d) Copy of an original official receipt issued by STET
Homeland Security Services for the fees in question; and
e) Reason(s) for requesting the refund.
STET Homeland Security Services will respond and revert
to the course participant’s request for refund, in any event
no more than fourteen (14) working days after receiving
their notice for course withdrawal, by the Management
Representative.
2. Conditions for withdrawal from course enrolled
STET Homeland Security Services has put in place
"Service Guarantees" to protect the interest of all our
course participants. All course participants are entitled to
immediately withdraw from the course enrolled, in the event
of any of the under-mentioned situations (such situations
are termed as "withdrawal from course for cause") should
arise:
a) STET Homeland Security Services, after commencement of
the course, for any reason fails to complete the course;
b) STET Homeland Security Services terminates the course for
any reason prior to the completion of the course; and
c) STET Homeland Security Services is unable to complete the
conduct of the course owing to relevant authority’s order to
cease and/or terminate the operations of STET Homeland
Security Services.
3. Withdrawal for cause enrolled and refunds
STET Homeland Security Services shall, as soon as
practicable after receiving the course participant’s notice
of withdrawal in writing under the conditions stated in para
2 above and, in any event no more than fourteen (14) working
days after receiving such notice, refund to the course
participant, 100% of the course fees less any applicable
administrative charges properly payable / paid to STET
Homeland Security Services.
4. Withdrawal without cause and refunds
Where a course participant withdraws from the course
enrolled for any reason other than those set out in the
conditions stated in para 2 above, STET Homeland Security
Services shall after receiving the course participant’s
written notice of withdrawal and, in any event no more than
fourteen (14) working days after receiving such notice
refund to the course participant the sum of:
a) 50% of the course fees where the course
participant’s written notice of withdrawal is received
within 14 days before course
commencement" ;
b) No refund
of the course fees where the course
participant’s written notice of withdrawal is received on
the course commencement date or thereafter.
The amount refunded will be less any applicable
administrative charges properly payable / paid to STET
Homeland Security Services.
5. Deemed withdrawal
A
course participant who transfers from one course to another
within STET Homeland Security Services shall, be
deemed to have withdrawn from the course and the provisions
stated in para 4 above shall apply unless otherwise agreed
between STET Homeland Security Services and the
course participant.
6. Deferment of course enrolled
In the event a course participant, after accepting an offer
of a place in the course, gives at least two (2) weeks
written request before the course commencement date to defer
to the next available course intake, all course fees paid
will be transferred to the next available course intake. The
‘next available course intake’ may commence in the following
term or in the following year. An offer of a place in a
course may be deferred for up to twelve (12) months only.
In the event a course participant has requested for a
deferment and subsequently gives notice to withdraw from the
course, 30% of the course fees paid by the student is
refundable within fourteen (14) working days after the
receipt of the written request for refund of the course fees
from the course participant.
7. No refund of course fees under the following
circumstances
A
course participant’s request to withdraw from a course for
whatever reasons, one (1) day after the course commencement
date, shall not be eligible for any refund, as stated in
para 4(d) above.
A
course participant’s enrolment in the course was cancelled
and/or the course participant is expelled from the course or
STET Homeland Security Services, for breach of
STET Homeland Security Services and/ or government
agencies/ authorities’ rules and regulations and/ or laws of
Singapore, shall not be eligible for any refund.
8. Appeal for refund of course fees
All appeals for refund of course fees made to STET
Homeland Security Services are subjected to
consideration by STET Homeland Security Services and
any decision made by STET Homeland Security Services
is considered final.
9. Payment of approved refund of course fees
Approved refund is paid in Singapore dollars and approved
refund is paid within fourteen (14) working days after
receiving written notice for refund of the course from the
course participants.
10. Final settlement of refund
The course participants, upon receipt of any refund from
STET Homeland Security Services, agree that the refund
amount is final, the course participant’s request for refund
of the course fees is fully settled and the student shall
cease to pursue any further claims from STET Homeland
Security Services for any other refund of the said
course fees.
Terms and Conditions
Event details are correct as at the time of publishing.
Unforeseen circumstances may result in changes or
substitution to any component of the event in part or
entirety. Any amendments will be updated on the website and
in an email circular to registered participants once
determined. STET Homeland Security Services Pte Ltd
shall not be liable in the event that a fortuitous event,
act of God or any unforeseen circumstances causes the
postponement or cancellation of the event.
